Meter Data Management

3G® Technology's Fully Integrated AMR Architecture:

MasterLinx® gives utility managers, employees, and customer service representatives access to system data from any computer with access to the internet. Using tables, graphs, and maps, this web-based system makes complex data easy to use and understand.

MasterLinx® is essentially made of two separate modules, Customer Billing and Meter Reading – each can work seamlessly with the other, or either can "standalone", interfacing with any third-party system that can exchange information using plain-text files.

Your new MasterLinx® Enterprise Management System account comes with a complete yet minimal configuration, which requires adjustment before it can be fully functional. For the Customer Billing module, this includes: rate codes; payment types; customer deposits, including interest calculation; metered and non-metered income centers; late fees; and automated bank drafting. For Meter Reading, we will set up: meter id's and types; reading routes; linking with either the Master Meter® Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) called FixedLinx™ fixed network or the Automated Meter Reading (AMR) Vehicle Reading System called MasterLinx Mobile™; interfacing meter reading results with either the integrated Utility Billing module, or any utility billing system that exchanges information using plain-text files.

MasterLinx® is the heart of any organization needing an Enterprise Management System. It interfaces with your billing software, loads routes onto and retrieves collected meter readings from Automated Meter Reading (AMR) Vehicle Reading System or handheld reading systems, collects meter readings from the FixedLinx™ Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) of radio boosters and repeaters, print the reports you need, and allows you to make corrections before returning the readings to your utility billing system. MasterLinx® connects the Automated Meter Reading (AMR) Vehicle Reading System, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI, or the MasterLinx® Handheld Reading System and pulls the data to one central location where it can be managed and used to generate revenue. The Enterprise Management System is the go-between, linking your utility billing system in the office with the various meter reading systems in the field.
